Dear Jake,      Thanks for your prompt response (20 Aug. 04) to my letter & documents posted on the 18th.  It makes a welcome change.   If acknowledged at all (very rare), my letters to the courts, government & Official Prison Complaints are answered with weasel words & Orwellian 'Newspeak'.  Have you read George Orwell's '1984'?  If not, I urge you to do so.  Also the rather weightier book 'The Gulag Archipelago', by Alekzandr Solzhenitsyn.

I am a very lucky man, having had a wonderful life for 70 years, my work as a small farmer & horse breeder being my hobby & my life.  I was married to a good  woman for 30 years, until she died suddenly 15 years ago.  I have been a successful racehorse owner & successful inventor, though neither brought me a great deal of money.  Those good things, & all my many mistakes brought me to the age of 70, when I first began to learn of corruption in the civil courts.  Since then, all my lifelong beliefs have been shattered, one by one, not only about 'justice', but about the British people (see 'Is it me' document).  However, I believe that problems are opportunities in reverse, & now feel I am doing the work I was put on this earth for.

The tragedy is not that power crazed monsters run the courts & the country, but that the British people are happy for it to be so, too callous &/or spineless to do anything about it, or too 'stoned' on the 'Opium of the masses' to care!  [1]

You will not get my book 'Cause for Concern' from any of the usual sources.  No publisher would have dared touch it, no bookshop sell it, so I was forced to devise my own methods of publishing & printing.  I have a copy, & others are scattered around.  A supporter tells me he has managed to produce a few more, so they may be available in the future.  However, he is under great pressure, being carer for his blind mother, who is very ill now, & he himself has to go into hospital this week.  The book itself only covers matters up to 1997 (the same year I stood for Parliament).   Bad though they were, happenings since have been a million times worse!    

Even if all the monstrous lies fed to the (specially selected) jury were true, I have committed no crime in British law.  Even if it was, the crimes against me has been a thousand times worse.  Others who have caused minor injuries such as I was convicted of, have been given suspended sentences, Community Service, Probation, 3 months, 6 months etc.  See the attached page about killers who have been out in less than two years.

The change I brought in British law (via the ECtHR), was incorporated into the 1998 Human Rights Act.  Hearings 'In Chambers' (where all the skulduggery takes place) used to be held in secret.  They are now open to the public - though court staff will keep you out if you aren't able to quote the Scarth v UK case, 33745/96!  In spite of my single-handed success there, I must tell you that the lawyers who run the ECtHR are as corrupt as our own lot. 

There could be a chance for you, considering you are going mainly for bent coppers & prosecutors, but I was - & am - exposing crooked judges.  The ECtHR will NOT allow that!  I have their own '40 year Survey', which lists every single case.  Apart from an odd Court Martial, not one case complaining of a British judge has ever GOT to the Court, much less been decided upon.  I myself know of scores of L.I.P.s who have tried to do so, but they have all been kept out by the British lawyers employed in Strasbourg as guard dogs. 

It would be professional suicide for a lawyer to use those grounds.  They ALL follow the dictum of the 'great' Lord Denning "Better that innocent men remain in prison, than that the integrity of the judiciary be impugned".     

You mention trying for legal aid, but unless things have changed, there is none in Britain for going to the ECtHR, though that body itself may grant legal aid once you get past a certain point. 

My sentence was actually 6 years in prison, plus 4 years on extended licence.  Refused parole last April, I am due out on licence next April, but when sentencing me Judge Bentley said "If you drop a toffee paper when you get out, we will have you back for another four years".  Not quite his words, but that is what he meant!  You express a hope that I will get justice.  I would make do with mercy (see the Queen's Oath in 'Is it Me'  document), but there is no chance of either for me!  

Iago (in Othello) said "Good name, in man or woman, is the very jewel of their soul.  He that steals my purse steals trash, 'twas mine, now his, 'tis something, 'tis nothing ', & has made slaves of thousands.  But he that filches from me my good name, takes that which not enriches him, but leaves me poor indeed".  They have taken my purse (little though it held), my liberty, & soon my life.  I give them all proudly, but I do grieve that they have taken from me my good name, earned over 78 years.                                                    

You say you wish you could do more for me.  I feel the same for you.  All we can do is to try to waken the nation, which is determined to stay fast asleep.  The Media (the propaganda arm of this Police State) will certainly not do so.  The State encourages crime, invents new ones, & assisted by the press fuels the hysteria about it - just as Hitler did!  They build more prisons, & put more people in them - again just like Hitler!  Yes, we do need some prisons - but let us put the right people in them - crooked judges for a start!                                                                         Norman
